Recom Technologies – Tier 1 European Manufacturer

Recom Solar Module Series

Recom Technologies solar modules are either based on monocrystalline PERC cells or Heterojunction (HJT) solar cells, which are presented in a variety of configurations from shingled or half-cut to a tri-cut option.

There is a wide variety of standard and bifacial modules with a wide range of power outputs and efficiencies on offer. They also come with the 25 year product and 25 year performance warranty that we expect with Tier 1 products.

The Puma range are shingled solar modules using monocrystalline PERC cells, and are offered in either single or bifacial options, from up to 555 Wattspeak (domestic) to maximum 670 Wp (commercial), and efficiency of 21.6% (or 28% under optimal bifacial conditions for the largest module).

Shingled solar modules should pack more power into a smaller area.

The Lion range are bifacial modules using Heterojunction (HJT) solar cells, and offers up to maximum 700 Wp and efficiency of 22.5% (or 29.3% for optimal bifacial operation). Recom Technologies say they have longer operating lifetimes and higher performance characteristics in low-light conditions.

These modules are also physically larger than average, at 2.384 m long, but you will need fewer of them.

Panther series are based on the mono PERC cell, using Half-cut technology and offers standard or bifacial modules in power outputs from up to 410 Wp, or up to 655 Wp, with nominal efficiency up to 21.09% (or an impressive 34.7% with optimal bifacial operation).

The Panther series are a physically larger than standard modules, up to 2.384 m long and 1.3 m wide, and weigh in at 34 kg.

The Panther and Black Panther solar modules claim to offer better performance under higher heat stress conditions, and may be desirable for their ability to withstand any future heatwaves.

Jaguar series are based on the mono PERC cell, using Tri-cut cell technology and 0-gap technology, producing efficiencies up to 20.81% in modules sizes up to 455 Wp.

Recom Inverters – Single Phase or Three Phase

In addition to their range of solar modules, Recom Technologies are offering a wide range of high-efficiency inverters in either single-phase, or three-phase and with a three-phase hybrid storage inverter also.

Recom single-phase inverters come in either a single MPPT or a dual MPPT offering for small domestic or very-small domestic installations.

Recom Technologies Single-phase Inverter

The single-phase inverters offer a rated power output up to 6 kVA with an inbuilt overload capacity, and can carry up to 7.8 kWp of solar panels in two strings.

Nominal efficiency ratings from 97.3% to 98.1% gives a corresponding maximum European efficiency rating of 97.5% at the top end of the range.

Recom three-phase inverters offering dual MPPT’s, range in size from a modest 4.4 kVA up to 25 kVA. Small incremental increases in output power makes this range of inverters attractive for their flexible application.

There is also a range of commercial size three-phase inverters with up to 10 MPPT’s for projects with solar arrays up to 162.5 kWp. Nominal efficiency of 98.8% or European efficiency of 98.3%, is available across this range of commercial inverters which increases their attractiveness from an investment point of view.

Recom Energy Storage Solutions

To complete the package of solar energy solutions, Recom Technologies offers a three-phase hybrid storage inverter capable of operating in islanded or off-grid mode with the assistance of a high-voltage Li-ion battery.

The hybrid storage inverter is available in power increments up to a nominal rated output power of 12 kW, which carries up to 15.6 kWp of DC input from the solar array. Nominal efficiency of 98.2% or European efficiency of 97.4% is available with the higher power models.
